Treehouse Treehouse installation at a height of 10 metres on the treetop of an old jungle tree in the center of the city. The space object, made of bamboo only, is 7 m long, 5 m broad and 3,60 m high, walkable in the inside and visible from a distance. The form consists of complete bamboo tubes joined together in a frame construction and of split bamboo which is interwoven like a cocoon to a basket-like outer shell. The design of the installation is documenting the harmony of nature and cities as an elementary topic of the future. The project was realized in cooperation with the faculty of architecture of the CMU University Chiang Mai. |
